El té es una de las bebidas más consumidas en el mundo. Diversas categorías de té (e.g., orgánico/convencional, polvo, bolsitas de té) y sabores (e.g., canela, tapioca, limón, jasmin, chocolate, original).
El té también es una de las especies de plantas amantes del suelo ácido. Además, todas las variedades de tés verdes, negros, oolong y blancos provienen de la misma especie vegetal, Camellia sinensis. Sin embargo, los tés de mejor calidad suelen provenir de las dos hojas superiores y brote de cada tallo de la planta de té que se pueden recoger hasta cuatro cosechas o rubores.
