La región del tejido molido contenida dentro del cilindro vascular se llama médula. La región del tejido molido que se encuentra entre el cilindro vascular y la epidermis se llama corteza. Similar a las monocotiledóneas, el xilema primario se localiza en la región del tejido vascular frente al centro del tallo, mientras que el floema primario se produce hacia el exterior del tallo.
Observe una sección transversal de un tallo joven de Helianthus (u otro eudicot). Localizar la epidermis, la corteza, el floema primario, el xilema primario, la médula y los rayos de médula. Etiquete estos tejidos en la imagen de arriba.
¿Qué tipos de células (-enquimas) puedes identificar en la sección transversal de Tilia? ¿En qué tejido (s) encuentras cada tipo de célula?
Esta imagen muestra la epidermis y corteza de un tallo joven de Tilia en crecimiento primario. La epidermis es la capa más externa de células y está cubierta por una fina capa de cera, la cutícula. Justo dentro de la epidermis está la corteza. Debido a que esto es de un tallo joven y en crecimiento, la corteza externa está llena de células de collenquima.
