    Los siguientes principios guiarán las prácticas de los maestros en el aula para establecer un programa preescolar de matemáticas tempranas de alta calidad, desafiante y sensible. Estos principios se basan parcialmente en las diez recomendaciones en Early Childhood Mathematics: Promoting Good Beginnings establecidos por la Asociación Nacional para la Educación de Niños Pequeños y NCTM en 2002.
