Cuando los cuidadores piensan en el cuidado inclusivo, muchas veces suponen que se trata de niños con necesidades especiales conocidas o diagnosticadas. Sin embargo, el cuidado inclusivo es para todos los niños que tienen capacidades o aptitudes diferentes. Los retrasos en el desarrollo pueden deberse a anomalías genéticas, traumatismos de nacimiento, accidentes u otros motivos, ya sean conocidos o no. El aspecto más importante del cuidado inclusivo es acordarse del ser humano que hay detrás de las necesidades. La inclusión implica que, a un niño con dificultades sensoriales, aunque aún no esté diagnosticado, se le debe dedicar el esfuerzo y el tiempo necesarios para que su entorno sea el mejor y el más propicio. Por ejemplo, como cuidador, usted observa que uno de sus hijos no quiere estar en la mesa sensorial, no le gusta pintar con los dedos y huye de cualquier juego que implique ensuciarse. Si bien le interesa, hay algo que le impide participar de estas actividades. ¿Qué puede hacer un cuidador en este caso, para que el niño tenga acceso a todas las herramientas del aula? Encuentre un punto medio. Intente poner la plastilina en una bolsa de plástico para que el niño la explore. Ponga pintura en una bolsa de plástico. Deje que utilice guantes de jardinería en los juegos que impliquen ensuciarse. Este es un ejemplo de inclusión. [1]
