¿Por qué debemos identificar estrategias críticas de lectura?
“La lectura es fundamental “—tal vez recuerde haber escuchado esta frase cuando era niño. Una serie de anuncios televisivos algo cursis enfatiza este punto, como este que presenta a la superestrella del baloncesto Shaquille O'Neal:
Sin embargo, como estudiantes universitarios, la lectura a menudo puede parecer menos divertida y más como trabajo. El propósito de ello cambia. En lugar de leer para disfrutar, leemos para obtener información, para una comprensión más profunda y para desafiar lo que creíamos saber.
“Leer” en este curso no sólo significa el acto de juntar letras para hacer palabras, y palabras juntas para hacer oraciones. “Leer”, ahora, significa un conjunto de habilidades que podemos practicar y profundizar, para que nuestra experiencia universitaria sea más fácil y significativa.
