    Como vimos en el capítulo anterior, un transistor de unión bipolar requiere una polarización directa de la unión base-emisor y una polarización inversa de la unión colector-base para funcionar correctamente. Uno de los parámetros principales de BJT es la ganancia de corriente,\(\beta\). Puede tener un impacto considerable en el funcionamiento del circuito. Desafortunadamente,\(\beta\) también varía con los cambios de temperatura, voltaje colector-emisor, etc., y esto puede llevar a la inestabilidad del circuito. En este capítulo investigaremos una variedad de topologías de circuitos para sesgar el BJT, siempre con miras a la estabilidad.
