    En este capítulo se presentó un tratamiento clásico de las líneas de transmisión. Las líneas de transmisión son elementos distribuidos y forman la base de los circuitos de microondas. Una característica distintiva es que soportan ondas que viajan hacia adelante y hacia atrás y se pueden usar para implementar funciones de circuito.

    Aquí se enumeran las fórmulas más importantes que se presentan en este capítulo. Los coeficientes de reflexión se referencian a una impedancia\(Z_{0}\), la impedancia de carga es\(Z_{L}\), y una línea tiene una impedancia\(Z_{0}\) característica\(\ell\), longitud física y constante de propagación\(\gamma\) (o longitud eléctrica en radianes de\(\beta\ell\) dónde\(\ell\) está la longitud física de la línea.
