    La teoría de categorías es una rama relativamente nueva de las matemáticas que ha transformado gran parte de la investigación matemática pura. El avance técnico es que la teoría de categorías proporciona un marco en el que organizar los sistemas formales y por el cual traducir entre ellos, permitiendo a uno transferir conocimiento de un campo a otro. Pero este mismo marco organizacional también tiene muchos ejemplos convincentes fuera de las matemáticas puras. En este curso, daremos siete bocetos sobre aplicaciones del mundo real de la teoría de categorías.
