Propósito de la actividad
- Los estudiantes podrán definir términos de uso común (y a menudo confuso) en la comunicación intercultural.
Materiales requeridos
- Pizarra de tiza
- Pizarra blanca
- Proyector y pantalla
Instrucciones de actividad
- Divide a los alumnos en parejas.
- Muestra los siguientes términos en pantalla o escríbelos en la pizarra: multicultural, intercultural, cultura y diversidad.
- Pida a los estudiantes que discutan estos términos con su pareja. ¿Qué significan estos términos? ¿Cómo son similares? ¿En qué se diferencian? ¿Cuál es un ejemplo de cada uno?
- Después de unos minutos, pídale a cada pareja que se una a otro grupo para comparar/contrastar sus respuestas e ideas.
- Después de unos minutos más, interrogar la actividad con la clase.
Debrief de preguntas/actividades
- Pasar por cada término en turno. Solicitar tantas respuestas de los grupos como sea posible.
- ¿Cuál es tu definición?
- ¿Cuál es un ejemplo de este término?
- ¿Cómo fueron tus conclusiones con tu pareja iguales o diferentes del grupo al que te incorporaste?
- (NOTA: Muchos estudiantes se dan cuenta de que no conocen las diferencias entre estos términos y no pueden dar ejemplos. Después de revisar las respuestas de clase a estos términos, defina cada término y proporcione un ejemplo.)
