    Dado que el potencial de reducción es positivo, la reacción es espontánea.

    3.2

    Como el pK a de los ácidos conjugados NH 4 es 9.25, y C 5 H 5 NH + 5.25, el amoníaco es más protofílico que la piridina y es una base más fuerte.

    3.3

    Las electronegatividades de los halógenos están en el orden F > Cl > Br. Un trihaluro de boro unido a halógenos más electronegativos atrae más electrones y la acidez de Lewis debería hacerse más grande. Sin embargo, se observa tendencia opuesta y esto se considera debido a la\(\pi\) unión entre boro y halógeno.
