Ahora que Lulu tiene una mejor comprensión de lo que implica una auditoría de accesibilidad web y ha decidido con certeza seguir adelante con una, está buscando un recurso recomendado que le permita a su webmaster familiarizarse más a fondo con las funciones de la web accesible contenido. Sin duda, WCAG 2.0 es el recurso que busca. Revise el contenido a continuación para comprender la importancia y el propósito de este elemento crítico de Lulu's y su kit de herramientas.Aunque es posible realizar revisiones informales de accesibilidad con comprensión básica de los tipos de barreras que enfrentan las personas con discapacidad, y conocimiento de los elementos comunes en el contenido web que a menudo producen barreras, una revisión exhaustiva y profesional requiere una comprensión sólida de la Web del W3C Directrices de accesibilidad al contenido (WCAG 2.0 o WCAG 2.1, también conocido como ISO/IEC 40500:2012).
Esta dependencia le presentará WCAG (pronunciado “wuh-kag”), que proporciona la base para la mayoría de las normas y legislación de accesibilidad internacional, junto con sus documentos de respaldo. WCAG debe ser un elemento clave de su Kit de herramientas de auditoría de accesibilidad web. Debe desarrollar una comprensión básica de WCAG para comenzar, luego usarlo y sus documentos de respaldo como referencias mientras realiza sus auditorías y construir sobre los conceptos básicos a medida que realiza la auditoría del contenido web.

Documentos que acompañan a WCAG
Acompañando a la especificación WCAG en sí hay una variedad de documentos que amplían los lineamientos. Los dos tipos de documentos que nos gustaría llamar su atención son:
- Comprensión de las pautas
- Cómo cumplir con WCAG (denominados Criterios de Éxito)
Estos documentos están convenientemente vinculados junto a su directriz correspondiente, como se muestra en la siguiente figura.
