Los volcanes son una ventana al corazón del interior dinámico de la Tierra. Nacidos de roca fundida desde lo profundo, los volcanes representan la naturaleza siempre reciclada de la Tierra sólida. Impresionantes exhibiciones de fuentes ardientes de roca fundida y erupciones masivas de gases y cenizas imponen un peligro significativo para la habitación humana en regiones volcánicamente activas. En este capítulo exploraremos dónde ocurren los volcanes, cómo se forman y los peligros que representan para los humanos.
