Nutrientes
Nutrientes: no son “alimentos”, sino que son más como vitaminas y minerales (fertilizantes) esenciales para las funciones de la vida.
• Ayudas en la producción de alimentos (producción primaria).
• Los nutrientes son esenciales para apoyar la fotosíntesis, el proceso que proporciona azúcares (energía) para apoyar todos los demás procesos de la vida.
• Hay muchos más procesos intermedios que requieren nutrientes para producir otros compuestos orgánicos complejos (proteínas, carbohidratos, grasas, etc).
Fuentes de Nutrientes: Upwelling y meteorización continental y erosión Nutrientes
primarios = nitratos y fosfatos
Secundario = minerales: calcio, hierro, zinc, sodio, y muchos otros.
