Es natural para nosotros clasificar los artículos en grupos, o conjuntos, y considerar cómo esos conjuntos se superponen entre sí. Podemos usar estos conjuntos para entender las relaciones entre grupos, y para analizar datos de encuestas.
- 13.2: Unión, intersección y complemento
- Comúnmente conjuntos interactúan. Por ejemplo, tú y un nuevo compañero de cuarto deciden tener una fiesta en casa, y ambos invitan a tu círculo de amigos. En esta fiesta se están combinando dos sets, aunque podría resultar que hay algunos amigos que estaban en ambos sets.
