Este proyecto se realizó para suministrar a los Autores de Libretexto videos sobre temas de Química General que pueden ser utilizados para potenciar sus proyectos. Además, estos videos están destinados a actuar como un recurso de aprendizaje para todos los estudiantes de Química General.

Las celdas G y E están relacionadas por la ecuación: G° = -NFE° celda
G° = Energía libre de Gibbs en J/mol
N = número de electrones transferidos en la reacción
F = Constante de Faraday = 96.485 C/mol e-
Celda E°= Volt
Recuerde (V) (C) = J
Célula E° positiva → G° negativa → Espontánea
Célula E° negativa → G° positivo → No espontáneo
El video contiene un problema de ejemplo donde G° para una reacción es el cálculo a partir de una celda E°Cell dada.
