Dos moléculas que tienen la misma fórmula molecular pero diferentes fórmulas estructurales, o arreglos de unión, se conocen como isómeros constitucionales.
El pentano es un alcano con cinco átomos de carbono. Tiene tres isómeros constitucionales, que se muestran a continuación.
1. Dibujar tres isómeros constitucionales de heptano.
2. Encierra en círculo los isómeros constitucionales del hexano en la figura siguiente. ¿Por qué las moléculas restantes no se consideran isómeros constitucionales del hexano?
3. Dibujar el isómero constitucional del hexano que falta.
