- Distancia desde la membrana basal normal adyacente hasta el punto más profundo del cáncer (plomadas azules)
- Correlaciona con pronóstico y metástasis nodales ocultas
- Valoración preoperatoria
- Palpación +/- imagenología
- Debe distinguir los cánceres exofíticos de los invasivos (ver figuras adyacentes)
- La etapa T aumenta con cada 5 mm
- T1: Menos invasivo (≤5 mm)
- T2: Profundidad moderada (>5 a ≤10mm)
- T3: Profundamente invasivo (>10 mm)
- T1: Menos invasivo (≤5 mm)
- La infiltración muscular extrínseca ya no es un criterio de estadificación para T4 porque
- Superado por DOI
- Invasión muscular extrínseca limitada difícil de evaluar
