Estas ilustraciones anatómicas fueron creadas por estudiantes de Ilustración Biológica y Premédica (BPMI) que previamente habían asistido al curso, BIOL351: Anatomía Acordada Comparada. Los estudiantes trabajaron estrechamente con el instructor de laboratorio para desarrollar ilustraciones anatómicas detalladas de los especímenes estudiados en el laboratorio, lo que permitió a los estudiantes mostrar su trabajo. Las imágenes se incorporaron luego en el manual de laboratorio para el curso y se hicieron más ampliamente disponibles como recursos educativos abiertos.
