    El propósito general de este libro de texto del curso preparatorio es ayudar a los estudiantes a familiarizarse con algunos términos y algunos conceptos básicos que encontrarán más adelante en el curso de Anatomía y Fisiología Humanas I. La organización y funcionamiento del organismo humano generalmente se discute en términos de diferentes niveles de complejidad creciente, desde los bloques de construcción más pequeños hasta todo el cuerpo. Este curso preparatorio de Anatomía y Fisiología abarca los fundamentos en el nivel químico, y una introducción básica a nivel celular, nivel de órganos y niveles del sistema de órganos. También hay una introducción a la homeostasis al inicio.
