Pasos
Renuncia: Siempre revise y siga la política de la agencia con respecto a esta habilidad específica.
- Reúna suministros: penlight, placas de Ishihara, gráfico Snellen, tarjeta Rosenbaum o un periódico para leer.
- Realice los pasos de seguridad:
- Realizar higiene de manos.
- Revise la habitación para ver las precauciones basadas en la transmisión.
- Preséntate, tu rol, el propósito de tu visita, y una estimación del tiempo que tomará.
- Confirme la identificación del paciente usando dos identificadores de paciente (p. ej., nombre y fecha de nacimiento).
- Explique el proceso al paciente y pregunte si tiene alguna duda.
- Ser organizado y sistemático.
- Utilizar las habilidades adecuadas de escucha y cuestionamiento.
- Escuche y atienda las señales de los pacientes.
- Garantizar la privacidad y dignidad del paciente.
- Evaluar ABC.
- Utilice preguntas efectivas de entrevistas para recopilar datos subjetivos sobre problemas oculares o auditivos.
- Inspeccione el ojo externo. Anote cualquier hallazgo inesperado.
- Evaluar que los alumnos son igualmente redondos y reactivos a la luz y acomodación (PERRLA).
- Evaluar el movimiento extraocular.
- Inspeccione el oído externo. Anote cualquier hallazgo inesperado.
- Evaluar la agudeza visual a distancia utilizando la gráfica ocular de Snellen y la técnica adecuada.
- Evaluar la agudeza de visión cercana usando una tarjeta o periódico preparados.
- Culos para daltonismo usando las placas de Ishihara.
- Evaluar la audición realizando con precisión la prueba de susurro.
- Asistir al paciente a una posición cómoda, preguntar si tiene alguna duda, y agradecerle su tiempo.
- Garantizar cinco medidas de seguridad al salir de la habitación:
- LUZ DE LLAMADA: Al alcance
- CAMA: Baja y bloqueada (en la posición más baja y los frenos encendidos)
- Rieles laterales: Asegurados
- MESA: A su alcance
- SALA: Libre de riesgos para caídas (sala de escaneo y despeje cualquier obstáculo)
- Realizar higiene de manos.
- Documentar los resultados de la evaluación. Informar cualquier inquietud de acuerdo a la política de la agencia.
