Nutrición Enteral (EN): Nutrición proporcionada directamente en el tracto gastrointestinal (GI) a través de un tubo enteral que pasa por alto la cavidad oral.
Volumen Residual Gástrico (GRV): Contenido estomacal aspirado con una jeringa de 60 mL, típicamente realizado en pacientes que reciben alimentación enteral para evaluar el riesgo de aspiración con intervenciones asociadas como ralentizar o detener la alimentación por sonda. Los GRV en el rango de 200—500 mL deberían generar preocupación y conducir a la implementación de medidas para reducir el riesgo de aspiración.
Descompresión estomacal: Utilizar la succión a través de una sonda nasogástrica para extraer el contenido del estómago.
