La terminología médica es un lenguaje que se utiliza en entornos de atención médica. Los términos médicos se construyen a partir de partes de palabras griegas y latinas y además incluyen acrónimos, epónimos y términos del lenguaje moderno.
Aprender un nuevo idioma puede ser una tarea desalentadora. En este recurso, ofrecemos un método para romper palabras médicas que toma esa tarea desalentadora y la hace manejable. Lo que se requiere de ti es un compromiso de memorizar las partes de la palabra, aprender las reglas e identificar a los rebeldes. Una vez que cumplas con ese compromiso te mostraremos cómo aplicar las reglas a las partes de palabras que hayas memorizado. Al memorizar los componentes del lenguaje de la terminología médica es importante apoyar ese aprendizaje con el contexto de la anatomía y la fisiología. Considera en qué parte del cuerpo está haciendo referencia el término médico y luego cómo funciona dentro del cuerpo. Esto construirá una base de terminología médica que podrá seguir creciendo en sus futuros cursos de atención médica.
Cómo funciona este recurso educativo abierto (REA).
El contenido introductorio de anatomía y fisiología de este REA ha sido adaptado del REA de Anatomía y Fisiología de OpenStax por Betts, et al., el cual está licenciado bajo una Licencia Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Siguiendo el liderazgo de OpenSTAX y en el espíritu de educación OPEN, hemos licenciado este REA con la misma licencia.
Alumnos: este REA es diferente a muchos libros de texto tradicionales de terminología médica. El contenido interactivo está integrado en cada capítulo. En este recurso trabajarás a través de cada sistema corporal que incluye partes de palabras, términos médicos completos y abreviaturas comunes asociadas con ese sistema corporal en particular. Al final de cada capítulo del sistema corporal hay una lista de vocabulario de términos asociados relacionados con ese sistema corporal. Las actividades de refuerzo interactivas requieren que haga clic, arrastre y suelte, escuche y repita, voltee y se ponga a prueba.
Profesores y personal docente: mientras este REA fue curada y creada para estudiantes de Administración de Oficinas de Salud y Servicios de Salud en el primer año de universidad, nuestra esperanza es que tomes este REA y lo personalices para tu programa y lo compartas nuevamente.
