Este módulo explora qué es una discapacidad física. Comenzamos definiendo la discapacidad física y discutiendo algunas de las causas de las discapacidades físicas. Luego, examinamos cómo una discapacidad física es diferente de una discapacidad del desarrollo y las adaptaciones especiales que las personas con discapacidad física pueden necesitar hacer. Exploraremos el impacto de una discapacidad física en la vida de una persona, analizando más de cerca los factores estresantes especiales que puede tener una persona con discapacidad física. Finalmente, discutiremos cómo el ayudante de salud en el hogar/ayudante de cuidado personal puede trabajar mejor con una persona con discapacidad física.
