La lámpara incandescente está disponible en diferentes clasificaciones de vatios. La lámpara fluorescente está disponible en diferentes longitudes, potencias y tipos de iluminación. Es fácilmente reconocible por su forma de tubo largo.
Lámparas incandescentes ligeras
Las lámparas incandescentes de servicio ligero suelen tener bases que son de tipo tornillo o tipo bayoneta Figura\(\PageIndex{2}\).
La cantidad de iluminación de la lámpara de neón (Figura\(\PageIndex{3}\)) es pequeña. La lámpara de neón utiliza corriente mínima pero necesita mayor voltaje.
Portalamparas
Los portalámparas (Figura\(\PageIndex{4}\)) se utilizan para sostener las lámparas y proporcionar un medio para conectar la lámpara al circuito eléctrico. Las lámparas incandescentes utilizan un accesorio tipo tornillo. Este puede estar alojado en un cuerpo de plástico o porcelana. Algunos portalámparas tienen interruptores incorporados. Los portalámparas fluorescentes están disponibles en diferentes estilos y tamaños.
