Knowing the days, months, seasons, and how to express dates will let us communicate a bit more.
The days of the week are lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes, sábado, domingo. The week starts week starts with Monday in Spanish. This is so that the weekend really is the weekend, or fin de semana.

The months of the year are enero, febrero, marzo, abril, mayo, junio, julio, agosto, septiembre, octubre, noviembre, diciembre.

The seasons are invierno (winter), primavera (spring), verano (summer), and otoño (fall).

We tell dates in Spanish by using the definite article el, the numerical date, the word de, the month, the word de, the year. For example
el veintiuno de septiembre de mil novecientos sesenta y siete
el dieciséis de febrero de mil novecientos noventa y cinco
el primero de agosto de mil novecientos noventa y siete
Note how the days of the week and the months are not capitalized in Spanish.
Also note how three of the four seasons use the masculine definite el.
