Nuevamente utilizaremos datos de Garland (1992) y probaremos la relación entre el tamaño corporal y el tamaño del rango de origen de un mamífero. Describiré métodos para usar datos empíricos para estimar los parámetros de modelos de movimiento brownianos multivariados. Luego describiré un enfoque de ajuste de modelos para probar correlaciones evolutivas. Este enfoque de ajuste de modelos es simple pero no se usa comúnmente. Finalmente, revisaré dos enfoques estadísticos comunes para probar correlaciones evolutivas, contrastes filogenéticos independientes y mínimos cuadrados filogenéticos generalizados, y describiré su relación con enfoques de ajuste de modelos.
