Características: 28—36”; irregular; follaje azul gris; flores de verde claro a beige
Condiciones de cultivo: suelos promedio a secos; pleno sol a sombra clara; zonas de resistencia 3—8
Originaria de praderas secas, esta hierba crece en mechones o racimos irregulares. Puede ser de corta duración, especialmente en suelos pesados. Bueno para montículos sépticos, suelos severos secos, pendientes secas y césped de bajo mantenimiento. Puede tolerar el tránsito peatonal y el corte de césped.

Actualmente no hay nativares disponibles. La planta aún no está ampliamente disponible, pero se puede encontrar en centros de jardinería nativos.

Las especies que se alimentan de Junegrass según la literatura son el patrón de filo leonado (Polites themistocles), la polilla tigre de Blake (Grammia blakei), el patrón de Assiniboia (Hesperia assiniboia), el patrón Dakota (Hesperia dacotae) y el patrón Garita ( Oarisma garita).
