Observamos cómo el oído convierte las vibraciones en la percepción del sonido. Algunos de los detalles exactos de este proceso aún no se entienden completamente pero el panorama general de cómo escuchamos está bastante bien establecido. Una vez más veremos que el mecanismo auditivo humano nos brinda experiencias que no corresponden exactamente a mediciones de laboratorio.
