    Una Guía para el Buen Razonamiento ha sido descrita por los revisores como “muy superior a cualquier otro texto de razonamiento crítico”. Muestra con ingenio y cuidado filosófico cómo los estudiantes pueden llegar a ser buenos en el razonamiento cotidiano. Comienza con la actitud, con el estado de alerta ante la heurística crítica y con el cultivo de las virtudes intelectuales. A partir de ahí desarrolla un sistema para esclarecer y evaluar hábilmente los argumentos, de acuerdo con cuatro estándares: si las premisas encajan con el mundo, si la conclusión se ajusta a las premisas, si el argumento se ajusta a la conversación, y si es posible decir.
