La mayoría de los libros de texto de escritura creativa cubren las tres categorías populares de literatura: poesía, no ficción y ficción. Este libro es diferente en dos formas, entonces, porque no sólo intenta abarcar MÁS géneros y categorías, sino que también es un libro de texto gratuito. ¿Más gratis? ¿Cuál es el qué? Sí, es verdad.

Este libro reconoce que la escritura es subjetiva, y que lo que podría ser “buena literatura” para una persona puede no ser lo mismo para otra persona. Por lo tanto, los maestros de escritura deben ser altamente alentados a utilizar una teoría llamada descalificación al graduar/evaluar el trabajo de los estudiantes.

Técnicamente falta una pieza del rompecabezas: la historia de algunos de estos géneros y categorías. Para que el libro sea breve y para enfocarlo en PRÁCTICA, esas pepitas históricas se quedan fuera, PERO los lectores de este libro deben sentirse libres de leer sobre cualquiera de los géneros y categorías vía Wikipedia, etc. en cualquier momento, ¡claro!

En este libro, repasaremos algunos de los principios generales de las prácticas de escritura así como consejos y consejos sobre cómo escribir creativamente, pero principalmente, se te presentará tantos géneros y categorías como sea posible. No nos empantanaremos en hacer el proceso de escritura “perfectamente” o crear “literatura perfecta”. El objetivo es aprender sobre tantos géneros como sea posible, practicar la escritura en esos géneros y obtener comentarios.
