En la universidad, las expectativas académicas cambian de lo que puedes haber experimentado en la preparatoria. La cantidad de trabajo que se espera de ti aumenta, y la calidad del trabajo también cambia. Debes hacer algo más que entender el material del curso y resumirlo en un examen. Se esperará que se involucre seriamente con nuevas ideas reflexionando sobre ellas, analizándolas, criticándolas, haciendo conexiones, sacando conclusiones o encontrando nuevas formas de pensar sobre ellas. Educativamente, te estás moviendo hacia aguas más profundas. Aprender los conceptos básicos de la lectura crítica y la escritura te ayudará a nadar.
