¿Qué es la alfabetización informacional y qué significa ser alfabetizado en la información? La American Library Association define la alfabetización informacional como un conjunto de habilidades que permiten a las personas reconocer cuándo se necesita información y poder localizarla, evaluarla y usarla de manera efectiva. Si bien a menudo se habla de alfabetización informacional en los campus universitarios en términos de hacer investigación bibliotecaria para trabajos y bibliografías anotadas y otro tipo de tareas en el aula, usamos y necesitamos información en todos los aspectos de nuestras vidas.
