La fantasía como género tiene raíces aún más antiguas y enredadas que SF, ya que utiliza el material fuente más antiguo creado por la cultura humana: mito, leyenda, folclore, ritual y religión. A lo mejor por eso son tan difíciles de encontrar antologías académicas completas de fantasía, los estudiosos no saben muy bien qué poner en ellas. Lee esto antes de comenzar esta búsqueda particular para definir un género.
