- Cada número real puede ser representado por un punto en la línea del número real. La distancia desde un número (punto) en la línea real hasta el origen (cero) es lo que llamamos la magnitud (peso) de ese número en el Capítulo 1. Matemáticamente, a esto se le llama el valor absoluto del número.
