    El modelo proyectivo es otro modelo de plano hiperbólico descubierto por Beltrami; a menudo se le llama modelo Klein. Los modelos proyectivos y conformales están diciendo exactamente lo mismo pero en dos lenguajes distintos. Algunos problemas en la geometría hiperbólica admiten pruebas más simples usando el modelo proyectivo y otros tienen pruebas más simples en el modelo conformacional. Por lo tanto, vale la pena conocer ambos.
