- Principio de encasillamiento
- Para conjuntos finitos\(A\) y\(B\), tenemos\ (\ # (A\ times B) =\ # A\ cdot\ # B).
- Inclusión-Exclusión:\ (A\ copa B=\ # A+\ # B-\ # (A\ cap B)).
- Propiedades de conjuntos contables, incluyendo:
- una unión contable de conjuntos contables es contable; y
- el producto cartesiano de dos conjuntos contables es contable.
- \(\mathbb{N}\),\(\mathbb{Z}\), y\ (\ mathbb {Q}) son contables, pero\ (\ mathbb {R}) es incontable.
