- Lisa Nichols (Figura 1) obtuvo una licenciatura en química de la Universidad Estatal de California, Chico en 2001 y una maestría en química orgánica de la Universidad de Stanford en 2003. Al momento de la segunda edición (2017) había enseñado química de tiempo completo durante 14 años en Butte Community College (en Oroville, norte de California, cerca de CSU Chico), con énfasis en la enseñanza de química orgánica de nivel mayor.
