- Explicar el procedimiento al paciente.
- Lávese las manos. Ponerse los guantes según sea necesario.
- Comprobar que la báscula esté en “0”. Reajustar si no lo es.
- Asistir al paciente a la báscula.
- Brindar apoyo mientras el paciente se estaciona.
- Anote el peso una vez que el dial deje de moverse.
- Asistir al paciente fuera de la báscula y regresar de manera segura a una silla o cama.
- Lávese las manos.
- Registrar el peso y cualquier problema observado que el paciente pueda haber tenido al subir o bajar de la báscula.
- Reporte cualquier cambio en la condición o comportamiento (como un aumento o disminución en el peso).
- Guarde la báscula en un lugar seguro.
