La condición da como resultado células con concentraciones intracelulares alteradas de iones sodio (Na+) y potasio (K+). Hay una mayor permeabilidad de K+ en la célula y una mayor permeabilidad de Na+ fuera de la célula. Esto da como resultado células con mayor volumen (las células están sobrehidratadas), una relación superficie-volumen disminuida y disminución de la viscosidad del citoplasma. 1-3
Mutación: 1,3
Defecto hereditario que conduce a alteraciones en la permeabilidad de la membrana de los glóbulos rojos.
Herencia: 1-3
Autosómico dominante (La hemólisis grave puede indicar una herencia autosómica recesiva)
Resultados de Laboratorio: 1-3
CBC: MCV: Incrementado MCHC: Disminución | PBS: Macorcitos Estomatocitos | Otras pruebas: Fragilidad osmótica: Aumento |
Estomatocitosis Hereditaria Deshidratada (Xerocitosis Hereditaria)
Los defectos conducen a un aumento del movimiento de K+ fuera de la célula y resulta en la deshidratación de la célula. A diferencia de los Estomatocitos, las células tienen una mayor relación superficie-volumen. 2
Herencia: 2-4
Autosómico dominante
