El objetivo de este libro es mejorar tus habilidades de razonamiento lógico. Estas habilidades también se llaman “habilidades de pensamiento crítico”. Son un complejo tejido de habilidades que te ayudan a conseguir el punto de alguien, generar razones para tu propio punto, evaluar las razones dadas por otros, decidir qué o qué no hacer, decidir qué información aceptar o rechazar, explicar una idea complicada, aplicar un control de calidad consciente como piensas, y resistir propaganda. Tu habilidad de pensamiento crítico más importante es tu habilidad para hacer juicios ─no juicios chasquidos que ocurren en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, sino aquellos que requieren un razonamiento cuidadoso.
