Steven W. Ellingson (ellingson@vt.edu) es Profesor Asociado en Virginia Tech en Blacksburg, Virginia, en Estados Unidos. Recibió títulos de doctorado y maestría en Ingeniería Eléctrica de la Universidad Estatal de Ohio y una licenciatura en Ingeniería Eléctrica e Informática de la Universidad Clarkson. Fue empleado del Ejército de Estados Unidos, Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Raytheon y el Laboratorio de Electrociencia de la Universidad Estatal de Ohio antes de unirse a la facultad de Virginia Tech, donde imparte cursos de electromagnetica, electrónica de radiofrecuencia, comunicaciones inalámbricas y procesamiento de señales. Su investigación incluye temas en comunicaciones inalámbricas, ciencia de radio e instrumentación de radiofrecuencia. El profesor Ellingson se desempeña como consultor de la industria y el gobierno y es autor de Radio Systems Engineering (Cambridge University Press, 2016) y Electromagnetics Vol. 1 (VT Publishing, 2018).
