    He diseñado este breve libro de texto para su uso en un curso de encuesta de sociología para estudios de minorías; así, mira a las minorías desde una perspectiva sociológica muy amplia pero superficial e incluye discusión sobre raza, etnia, sexo, género, orientación sexual, envejecimiento y discapacidad. El último apartado está dedicado a la expulsión y al genocidio.
