Esta simulación muestra una vista superior de las olas que interfieren en la superficie de un tanque de agua (imagínese golpeando la superficie de un estanque con el extremo de un palo a intervalos regulares). Los círculos blancos que provienen de la mancha representan las crestas de ola con abrevaderos en el medio. Se pueden ver dos fuentes al mismo tiempo y se puede ajustar la separación entre ellas y la longitud de onda de ambas.
