Condiciones locales en la región de San Diego
• En San Diego, tenemos una termoclina templada, la cual es débil en el invierno y bastante fuerte en el verano.
• Durante los años de El Niño podemos obtener una termoclina fuerte durante todo el año.
• Los patrones climáticos de California son cíclicos en periodos plurianuales de lluvia y sequía.
La Figura 7.32 muestra la precipitación anual de California de 1895 a 2014. A partir del otoño de 2015, California ha experimentado actualmente la peor sequía en el periodo que se han registrado registros.
