En este breve capítulo nos centramos en el concepto de la tasa de transporte de sedimentos más que en los procedimientos por los que podría predecirse. Se necesitaría mucho espacio adicional en estas notas del curso para hacer justicia a los detalles de incluso el pequeño número de fórmulas de descarga de sedimentos que son de uso común.
