“Will” sugiere una probabilidad fuerte o verosimilitud futura. “Sería” implica lo mismo, pero normalmente se usa cuando la probabilidad es más hipotética.
Eventualmente estos sedimentos serán depositados en un fondo marino. (“Will” expresa fuerte probabilidad y verosimilitud futura.)
A temperaturas aún más altas, la radiación probablemente se volvería más fuerte. (“Sería” sugiere probabilidad hipotética.)
Tenga especial cuidado de no abusar de “voluntad” y “haría”, en particular al afirmar hechos. Algunos escritores suelen componer oraciones como “Una comparación de registros MWD y registros de línea de alambre sería difícil porque operarán en diferentes entornos”. En una versión revisada de esta frase, la escritora debería eliminar “voluntad” y “haría”, simplemente afirmando el hecho de que ella sabe que es verdad: “Una comparación de troncos MWD y registros de línea de alambre es difícil porque operan en diferentes entornos”.
