La geometría hiperbólica resulta reemplazando el postulado paralelo euclidiano por lo siguiente.
Dada una línea y un punto no en esa línea existen al menos dos líneas a través del punto y paralelas a las líneas.
Había tres variantes principales (redacciones) del postulado paralelo euclidiano. Conjetura cómo se ven estos en la geometría hiperbólica.
