    El objetivo principal al escribir este libro era hacerlo fácil de leer, con ejemplos divertidos, preguntas de discusión que provocaran la reflexión y sea accesible para todos para garantizar que los estudiantes leyeran. El nivel de contenido estuvo dirigido a estudiantes de primer año que están cursando su primer curso en Criminología y Justicia Penal, pero también como un curso de educación general para aquellos que tal vez no tengan la intención de especializarse.
