- Los principales participantes en un negocio son sus dueños, empleados y clientes.
- Toda empresa debe considerar a sus grupos de interés, y sus intereses a veces contradictorios, a la hora de tomar decisiones.
- Las actividades necesarias para dirigir un negocio se pueden dividir en funcionales Las funciones del negocio corresponden bastante de cerca a muchas carreras que se encuentran dentro de un colegio típico de negocios.
- Los negocios están influenciados por factores externos como la economía, el gobierno y otras fuerzas externas al negocio. El modelo PESTEL es una herramienta útil para analizar estas fuerzas.
