Objetivos de aprendizaje
- Explorar el papel de la enfermera y las responsabilidades legales y éticas al brindar atención a clientes con trastornos de salud mental
- Describir los estándares de atención a enfermeras
- Discutir los elementos de una demanda por mala praxis
- Explicar los derechos del paciente con base en la Ley de Autodeterminación
El Código de Ética para Enfermeras con Declaraciones Interpretativas establece: “La enfermera promueve, aboga y protege los derechos, la salud y la seguridad del paciente”. [1] Este capítulo describe las responsabilidades legales y éticas de las enfermeras mientras se protege la seguridad y los derechos de los clientes que reciben atención de salud mental.
